What is a Director of Photography?

A Director of Photography (DP) manages every aspect of your shoot, including lighting, shot selection and camera operation.

What is a Grip?

A grip works primarily on the complex equipment which supports the camera crew. They are also experts with all of the lighting equipment.

What is an HMU?

Professional Hair and Make-Up services are an important part of almost every production we do. They ensure everyone who will be on camera looks their very best.

What is a PA?

The Production Assistant (PA) assists with all activities on set including loading and unloading equipment, keeping the set clean and safe, and any other duties required.

What is a Producer?

A Producer handles all scheduling associated with a project, including pre-pro meetings, production book, talent releases, insurance, crew call and talent call times, and direct coordination with the client. A Producer also manages crews and coordinates with our clients on production days.

What is pre-pro?

You deserve an organized, stress free production experience. That’s why we plan, plan some more, and then overplan. Pre-production (pre-pro) involves all aspects of planning for production – including account management, calls, meetings, location scouting, scheduling, casting, production book, and creating clarity in every aspect of your project to ensure your final product looks and sounds incredible.

What is an Audio Technician?

An Audio Technician makes everything sound better. Their job is to ensure consistent high quality sound production regardless of the environment.

What is a Photography Assistant (for still photos)?

The Photography Assistant assists the still photographer, on-set, with lighting and quality control on images. A Photography Assistant is a vital part of making sure your still photography production runs efficiently and that your production day output is maximized.

What is a Remote Producer?

The Manley Creative Remote Producer process is designed to make your job easier. You deserve to be on set even when you can’t really be on set. Our remote producer virtually manages the crew and coordinates with clients on days of production, ensuring all content is captured. Through this process, clients are able to see and hear everything that is happening on the set.

What is Video Village?

Video Village is our on-set comfy spot for our clients, complete with field monitors and equipment to allow our clients to review video captured in real-time on-set during a production day.
